CAL Sports Academy Launches Friday Night Pickup Soccer Program for Local Youth
Harleysville, PA – Following up on the tremendous success of his Friday Night Basketball Program, Corey Lord owner of CAL Sports Academy decided that it was time to launch a NEW Friday Night Pickup Soccer program for local youth athletes. Realizing that local youth need an affordable outlet for all of their energy and often play both basketball and soccer, Lord worked with Montgomery County Sports Performance Center to organize a Friday Night Pickup Soccer Program to compliment his Friday Night Pickup Basketball Program that takes place each Friday evening from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm for boys and girls in grades 2 – 9.
Starting this Friday, March 25th, 2011, Friday Night Soccer Program will begin on the indoor turf at Montgomery County Sports Performance Center, located at 110 Christopher Lane in Harleysville, PA. Games will be conducted in 1 hour blocks from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm with co-ed teams playing in 6 versus 6 games. The sessions will be played at the following times: U-10 teams play from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm U-12 teams play from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm U-14 teams play from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm U-16 teams play from 9:00 pm to 10:00 pm Games will use open substitutions so that players get balanced playing time. During the games Coach Corey Lord pauses from time to time to provide instruction during the games. The philosophy of solid technical play, with fairness and sportsmanship are emphasized throughout all games. And best of all Friday Night Soccer only costs $10 per player. Kids from all over Montgomery County have already discovered CAL Sports Academy’s Friday Night Basketball and now the NEW Friday Night Soccer program will enhance the variety of camps, clinics and AAU leagues that CAL Sports Academy already offers on a weekly basis. “After seeing the tremendous response of families to Friday Night Basketball, we started getting requests from parents for a complimentary soccer program. Parents are always searching for ways to keep their kids healthy and active and Friday Night Soccer along with Friday Night Basketball is the perfect outlet for kids who just want to stay active,” said Corey Lord, owner of CAL Sports Academy. “We keep the teams in both programs random from week to week so that the kids (boys and girls) learn to play with different players and that no one team dominates the other teams.” The Friday Night Pickup Soccer and Basketball Programs are the first of their kind in the area and it is absolutely the most affordable night out for boys and girls grades 2 through 9. Friday Night Soccer is $10 per player in 1 hour blocks and Friday Night Basketball is $15 per player for 2 hour blocks. No other sports program mixes kids of all ages and abilities together to help them all improve their game the way Friday Night Pickup Basketball and Soccer does. In addition to Friday Night Basketball and Soccer Programs CAL Sports Academy offers a wide variety of basketball and soccer camps, clinics and leagues, plus AAU Basketball Teams and private or group lessons for boys and girls of all ages. Whether a young athlete is just discovering what sport they like, or wants to take their game to a whole new level CAL Sports Academy has a sports or conditioning program tailored to meet their needs and skill level.
